Job Overview

We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality dishes, working in a fast-paced environment, helping your the kitchen team, and maintaining excellent standards of food safety, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes in line with recipes, menus, and portion standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, cooled, and stored in line with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during service, giving clear direction and feedback.
  • Organise and manage food production to ensure smooth, timely service, especially during busy periods.
  • Work with management to develop and refine menu items that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
  • Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and place orders to maintain adequate supplies and minimise waste.
  • Train and support new and junior kitchen staff on techniques, recipes, safety, and daily procedures.
  • Maintain the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and consistency in every dish.
  • Help keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety requirements.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and best practice in a hospitality setting.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a genuine passion for food and creativity on the plate.
  • Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Previous experience supervising kitchen operations or leading shifts is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
