Role Description

The Workshop Controller plays a pivotal role in supporting the Depot Manager to ensure the workshop operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with Stockport Truck Centre's service standards and compliance targets. This customer-facing role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing service schedules & workshop flow.

Duties:

Job Administration:

  • Raise job cards, estimates, and invoices accurately and promptly
  • Update job statuses on the system in real time

Workload Planning & Scheduling:

  • Plan and allocate jobs to meet customer deadlines
  • Maintain & manage service schedules for all customers
  • Monitor job timings and ensure parts availability

Customer & Workshop Liaison:

  • Communicate service updates, authorisations, and completions to customers
  • Coordinate with workshop staff to ensure smooth job progression

‍

Procurement & Inventory:

  • Process purchase orders with precision
  • Ensure parts are ordered and available when needed

‍

Site Standards & Safety:

  • Maintain depot cleanliness and security
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained
  • Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards across the site

Required Certification & Experience:

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm, with alternate Saturdays 7am-12pm

Dependent on Experience
