Working with the Global OD Lead and PMOP hub lead, to shape the strategy for organisational development (OD) practice in the geographical hub, building a connected network of OD practitioners that can service hub projects and programmes. Directing the growth of the OD service and the development of professional skills and standards in the geographical hub. Assures that OD is being delivered in accordance with those standards.

Managing the development of organisational, team and individual effectiveness in major project and programmes.
Delivers OD service deliverables for allocated projects and programmes, adapting to suit the scale and complexity needed.

You'll be responsible for:

Hub and Delivery Portfolio:

  • Maintaining, cultivating and establishing a strong collaborative network, developing partnerships with key senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing, influencing and negotiating with senior project leaders to gain insights to what works well, their challenges around organisational effectiveness, including team and individual dynamics and team maturity.
  • Managing the implementation of a systematic performance improvement cycle to continually improve the quality of function/portfolio.
  • Identifying and measuring team performance maturity/organisational effectiveness maturity, sharing progress and concerns with the project leadership, creates action plans to maintain and increase maturity/effectiveness.
  • Holding accountability for developing, shaping adapting programmes of work for client organisation and/or programme team to support maturity/effectiveness/collaborative behaviour, provides expert discipline advice and counsel.
  • Owning and managing the programme of work, with external providers, to ensure targeted interventions with maximum impact.
  • Partnering as strategic business partner with leads and the internal communication resource for the project/programme (where they are in place) to ensure OD work aligns with project disciplines and is consistent through communications.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Hub Portfolio:

  • Working with the global OD lead and PMOP hub lead, to shape the strategy for organisational development (OD) practice in the geographical hub
  • Managing the OD team in the hub, keeping the OD community connected and informed.
  • Working with the OD service leads to plan and deliver regular updates on best practice to OD practitioners in the hub.
  • Working with the PMOP hub leads to ensure pipeline needs are understood and recruitment of OD professionals is planned and supported.
  • Ensuring that OD professionals in the hub are onboarded into the OD practice and the control centre ways of working.
  • Delivering OD service deliverables for allocated projects and programmes, adapting to suit the scale and complexity (including as follows):
  • Driving the bidding process, overseeing OD methodology ensuring it is embedded into bid and mobilisation plans.
  • Holding accountability for the OD pre-mobilisation and mobilisation plans for the projects/programmes in the hub, as required, in advance of contract award.

Delivery Portfolio:

  • Contributing to the bidding process, overseeing OD methodology ensuring it is embedded into bid and mobilisation plans.
  • Holding accountability for the OD pre-mobilisation and mobilisation plans for specified projects/programmes as required, in advance of contract award.

You'll need to have:

  • Comprehensive experience in business improvement/capability improvement.
  • Highly developed consulting skills.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Systems-thinking.
  • Solid understanding/experience of operating in large and complex programmes.
  • Project management experience and expertise.
  • Strong competence and proven ability to develop leadership and management capability.
  • Proven facilitation skills.
  • Senior level OD experience.

You'll also have:

  • Strong facilitation skills and experience.
  • Executive or team coaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Psychometric tools accreditation.
  • Familiarity and experience using the portfolio, programme, and project management maturity model (P3M3).
