- Conduct take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Use estimating software to compile accurate costings
- Review subcontractor submissions for compliance with tender requirements
- Support the leadership team with commercial input and lead time considerations
- Compile internal tender documentation for director sign-off
- Contribute to formal tender submissions and proposal documents
What you'll need
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems including LV/HV distribution, switchgear, UPS, and containment
- Proven estimating experience in building services, ideally within data centres or critical infrastructure
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks, value engineer, and support competitive tendering
- Proven track record of successful tenders in data centres, comms rooms, or similar critical infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Trimble) and confident in take-offs from drawings/specs
- Understanding of construction delivery methods and subcontractor management
- Clear communication skills across clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Excellent time management, able to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills across all levels
- Full UK driving licence
- SC clearance beneficial (not essential)
- Willingness to travel nationwide, with early starts and overnight stays
