Due to continued expansion, AIC Transport are looking for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team, working from our Edinburgh depot.

You'll be working from Monday to Friday, with nights out and occasional Saturday shift required.

AIC Transport is a well-established company with experience in the automotive industry for over 25 years.

We currently operate a fleet of 20 multi car transporters varying in size and functionality. We cover all over the UK moving all varieties of vehicles while working in partnership with dealerships, fleet, and auction facilities.

An AIC driver loads, collects, and delivers a variety of vehicles ranging from brand new, used, vintage and non-running vehicles. We can cater for various sizes from car, vans, motorhomes, and trailers.

A driver will be required to carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles.

AIC Drivers must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.

Car Transportation experience is advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.

What we require from you:

  • HGV Licence (Preferably Clean)
  • Valid CPC
  • A good understanding of the Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations.
  • Driving experience in both rural and urban environments.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

Pay Breakdown

· Competitive hourly rate + time and a half at weekends.

· £26.20 Overnight allowance + additional overnight bonus

· Weekly Vehicle loading bonus

· Monthly "No Damage" Bonus

· 30 Days Paid Holiday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
