Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a rotational band 5 physiotherapist to join LPT based in Market Harborough.

We offer 6 monthly rotations in in-patient medical rehabilitation, community therapy, MSK, in-patient stroke services and long term conditions (Cardio-respiratory).

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to become part of an effective team within the rotation, providing high-quality patient care to services across Community Health Services.

You will work clinically in all services mentioned, developing valuable physiotherapy skills across a wide range of specialist services. You will be supported in your development to become a highly skilled autonomous practitioner. You will work in a variety of teams working closely with other professions in the MDT.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant qualifications and HCPC registration.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Show evidence of ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • Have the ability to work sensitively and effectively with patients and their carers.
  • Work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility and use initiative.
  • Be able to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day.
  • Displays LPT trust values and behaviours.
  • Be able to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

  • To be responsible for providing a professional physiotherapy service and carrying an agreed caseload under the supervision of Senior Physiotherapy staff.
  • To provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a multi-disciplinary format.
  • To deliver a physiotherapy service to patients within a variety of settings, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments.
  • To demonstrate the Trust's values in everything you do in the work environment and live up the LPT Pledge.
  • To be responsible in the use and expenditure of the Trust's resources that you utilise.
  • Delivery of effective healthcare within the organisation.
  • Establish effective leadership and communication.
  • Continuing education, personal, and professional development.
