Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Counselor. The Counselor will be responsible for providing compassionate guidance, emotional support, and resources to clients experiencing personal or professional challenges. Key tasks include conducting one-on-one sessions, creating action plans, and maintaining confidentiality while fostering a safe space for open communication. Collaboration with other team members to provide coordinated care and assistance is also an integral part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in active listening, communication, and conflict resolution
  • Experience in providing emotional and psychological support to diverse populations
  • Ability to create and implement action plans tailored to individual needs
  • Familiarity with mental health practices and resources
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals in need
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in Counseling, Psychology, or related fields are a plus
