As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Administrator to support our advisors and ensure a smooth mortgage journey for every client.
Role Overview
The Mortgage Administrator plays a key role in the end-to-end processing of mortgage cases. You will work closely with mortgage brokers, lenders, and clients to ensure applications are completed accurately, documents are obtained on time, and cases progress efficiently to offer and completion.
Case Management & Processing
- Manage the full administration of mortgage applications from submission to completion.
- Gather, verify, and upload required documentation (ID, income proofs, bank statements, credit reports, etc.).
- Input and maintain accurate client data in CRM and case management systems.
- Track case progress, proactively resolving delays and keeping all parties informed.
Client & Lender Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the processing phase.
- Liaise with lenders, solicitors, surveyors, and brokers to obtain updates and ensure smooth workflow.
- Handle client queries with professionalism, clarity, and speed.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Conduct pre-submission quality checks on applications.
- Maintain well-organised digital records to support audits and compliance reviews.
Operational Support
- Assist mortgage advisors with prep work, research tasks, and documentation needs.
- Monitor key dates (valuation deadlines, offer expiry, completion timelines).
- Contribute to continuous process improvements within the operations team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong administrative experience ideally within the mortgage industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital document tools.
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a mortgage brokerage or lender environment.
- Knowledge of UK mortgage regulations (FCA, AML, GDPR).
- CeMAP or willingness to work toward relevant qualifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
