Are you fully time served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer, with proven work history in Food Manufacturing within the UK. Have full Visa status without restrictions or being dependant.

At our Stockton site we are currently looking for a qualified Multi Skilled Engineer who is Electrical biased, to join our team on a set 3 weekly rotating shift pattern , including nights, afternoons and days. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a fast paced FMCG manufacturing environment, and be time served within manufacturing. Along with a full valid right to work visa status.

Key Accountabilities

Our Multi Skilled Engineers are responsible for maximizing the plant availability on a range of process and packing lines that demand high uptime 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• To optimize planned maintenance activities, comply statutory responsibilities, plant histories, delay analyses and using knowledge of process, data and plant.
• To clearly implement and demonstrate the required approach to process safety requirements in the area responsibility – this to include food safety and hygiene processes.
• Carrying out maintenance activities in the area.
• Identify and create action plans for the automation of the plant in key area.
• Reduce cost to the business by actively challenging all external costs.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Ensure that product is manufactured to the required quality and legality standards as set out by the company as well as maintaining an awareness of basic food hygiene.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• At all time to be aware and observant of Health & Safety Regulations.
• To ensure safety standards are maintained and safe working procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Our Multi Skilled Engineers are an integral part of our team, so we are looking for someone who has proven experience as an Engineer, with a minimum ONC qualification or equivalent. Other skills that are required are:

• Ability to work well under pressure, making quick and accurate troubleshooting diagnosis and decisions with the ability to prioritise workload
• Possess strong electrical and mechanical fault finding abilities
• Experience in attending to breakdowns in fast paces manufacturing (FMCG) environments
• Have a good eye for detail
• Be confident in fault finding PLC systems

Job Type

Permanent 3 weekly rotating shifts.
