Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care activities using IT systems
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
  • Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and following digital care plans
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' well-being
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
  • Driving skills are preferred for home care roles, facilitating travel between patient locations
  • Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of care plans and healthcare procedures is desirable
