The Team
Our Real Estate Finance practice supports a diverse and high-profile client base, including:
- Landowners and private individuals
- International property developers
- Property investment companies and funds
- Major financial institutions, challenger banks, mezzanine lenders and building societies
We advise on restructuring portfolios, securing development financing, refinancing and equity release for acquisitions, structuring funds to attract investors, and maximising tax efficiency.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Director to join our Real Estate Finance team in London. This is a senior hire that will play a key role in leading complex transactions, managing client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and development of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including acquisition finance, development finance, refinancing, restructuring and portfolio deals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to lenders, borrowers, developers, funds and investors.
- Deliver commercially focused solutions to clients, balancing legal risk with strategic objectives.
- Drive business development initiatives, develop new client relationships, and deepen existing ones.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers in the team.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and thought leadership within the real estate finance group.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially minded lawyer with:
- Extensive experience in real estate finance, ideally gained at a leading international, national, or highly regarded City law firm.
- Strong technical expertise across a wide range of financing structures and transactions.
- A track record of managing complex deals and delivering excellent client service.
- The ability to build strong, lasting client relationships and lead on business development.
- Strong leadership skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach to team development.
