Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)

Location: Warwick, Warwickshire

Salary: £105 - £110 per day

Are you an experienced and positive Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in or around Warwick?

We are seeking resilient and dedicated SENTAs for rewarding roles in supportive local primary and secondary schools across Warwickshire and the surrounding areas.

You will be perfectly positioned to support schools within leading local trusts and academies.

This role is ideal for candidates based in or near Warwick. As a key transport hub for the county, Warwick provides excellent rail links (Chiltern Line) and road access (M40). This makes it a perfect base for commuting to schools within Warwickshire (e.g., Warwick, Leamington Spa) and also to key areas in Solihull and parts of Worcestershire.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of needs (such as ASD, EBD, MLD, or PMLD).
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHC (Education, Health and Care) plans.
  • Fostering an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
  • Helping pupils build confidence, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential.
  • Being a patient, compassionate, and reliable presence for the children you support.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, specifically with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • A strong understanding of different SEN requirements.
  • Patience, empathy, and the resilience to handle challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • (Desirable) A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
