This business are a cyber security MSP dedicated to protecting modern businesses from cyber threats 24/7. They provide tailored, innovative, and effective security solutions that evolve with their clients needs.

This is the 1st out and out Pre Sales hire for this business, with future growth going in the right direction, there will be an opportunity to grow and develop a team.

Job Summary:

The SOC Pre-Sales position supports the sales team in delivering technical expertise and solutions related to Security Operations.

It involves understanding customer requirements, designing solutions, demonstrating capabilities, and helping organisations implement SOC solutions effectively, providing a unique business proposition that suits.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Pre-Sales Support:

  • Engage with customers to understand their cybersecurity needs.
  • Demonstrate SOC solutions (SIEM, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, etc.).
  • Provide technical input for proposals, RFIs, and RFPs.

Proof-of-Concept (PoC) & Demonstrations:

  • Conduct PoCs to showcase SOC product capabilities.
  • Prepare demos and technical presentations for potential clients.
  • Address customer queries regarding technical feasibility and integration.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams.
  • Support marketing initiatives with technical content.
  • Provide feedback to product teams on customer requirements and pain points.

Documentation & Training:

  • Create technical documentation, solution guides, and deployment plans.
  • Train customer teams on SOC tools and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Cybersecurity Expertise:

  • Understanding of SOC operations, SIEM, threat detection, incident response, and endpoint security.

  • Pre-Sales Skills:

  • Ability to conduct technical presentations and demos.
  • Strong problem-solving and solutioning skills.
  • Understanding of customer business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

Optional / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with SOC automation (SOAR tools).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security tools (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, etc.).
  • Prior experience working in cybersecurity consulting or managed SOC services.
