Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of road safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Duties

  • Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transport.
  • Navigate routes using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and inventory logs.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff regarding any issues or delays in the delivery process.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and organisation of goods.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
