Job Title: Support Worker

Pay: £14.00

Contract: Permanent Full time-Part Time (Shift Based)

Location: Boston spa, Leeds

We're recruiting a small team of 3-5 committed Support Workers to work as part of a 2:1 support package for a young woman with complex needs who lives at home with her family.

She is a sociable, fun and active person who enjoys music, horse riding, visiting farms, and days out. She is non-verbal but highly communicative, using methods such as Makaton, body language and other communication tools. We're looking for people who are patient, observant, and responsive to her individual communication style.

Applicants must also be comfortable around dogs, as there is a family dog in the home.

About The Role:

* Work as part of a small, consistent team to provide 2:1 support.

* Support with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks.

* Use and support non-verbal communication methods including Makaton.

* Assist with social and community activities.

* Support nutrition and hydration (pureed diet).

* Provide emotional reassurance and a calm, safe environment.

* Work closely with the family to make sure support is consistent and person-centred.

Key Requirements

* Reliable, patient, and compassionate.

* Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

* Confident with non-verbal communication or willing to learn.

* Comfortable working as part of a team.

* Able to commit to regular shifts on a rota basis.

* A full driving licence and ability to drive a manual car is important for 1:1 support.

* For 2:1 roles, a driving licence is helpful but not essential.

* Must be okay with dogs.
