Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for Resident Airway Fellow posts in the Wessex Neurological Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, to start February 2026. This post is for 6 months. The post is suitable for those wishing to enhance their knowledge and experience in neurocritical care and anaesthesia, who have experience working in these areas and appropriate qualifications to do so.

Appropriate supporting evidence would include satisfactory workplace-based assessments (WBPAs) demonstrating independent practice.

Full support for study leave will be given. Fellows are encouraged to participate in our research trials and present at international meetings.

Our team won the ICS "Team of the Year" 2023. We are proud to have a talented multidisciplinary team who contribute to excellent patient outcomes. The Unit is recognised by the UK ICM committee for training in Intensive Care Medicine.
