Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Carer Assistant located in Wellingborough, Northampton. The Carer Assistant will provide personal care, support with daily living activities, and companionship to individuals in need. Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The role also involves empathy, patience, and understanding to ensure the well-being and comfort of the individuals under care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in personal care tasks, including mobility assistance and hygiene support
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including compassion, patience, and effective communication
  • Organisational skills for managing responsibilities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and documentation of care
  • Knowledge or experience in elderly care, disability care, or healthcare support
  • A certification or training in caregiving, health and social care, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to individual needs
  • Basic first-aid knowledge and health and safety awareness
