Role: Senior User Researcher

Contract Length: 6 Months with possible extension

Location: Hybrid/Edinburgh or Glasgow - Onsite collaboration when required depending on project/team requirements

IR35: Outside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £458 per day

Security Clearance: BPSS

Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior User Researcher for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR USER RESEARCHER

An experienced User Researcher is required to inform the design and delivery of new and existing digital customer facing services.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR USER RESEARCHER 

  • Senior UX experience
  • Specialist skills: lo fidelity prototyping and service design
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs, pain points, and motivations.
  • Map whole service ecosystem, customer journeys and blueprints to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Advocate for accessible design, familiar with accessibility standards and inclusive design research practices
  • Confident to design and facilitate workshops with team, stakeholders and end users to uncover insights and co-create solutions.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design strategies and hypothesis.
  • Facilitates difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders
  • Design and prototype new or improved services that deliver measurable value.
  • Support design strategy by connecting customer insights to business objectives
  • Sound understanding of GDPR, research ethics and how to keep participants, teams and researcher information safe.
  • Proactive researcher that takes responsibility for identifying, shaping and delivering research outcomes.
  • Experience of delivering first class government services following the Scottish Government Digital First Service Standard
