Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

Join us as a PDS EMEA Client Interaction Specialist at Barclays, where you will shape the future of client service in Markets Post Trade. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of client relationship management, problem-solving, and derivative product expertise. You'll be the primary point of contact for approximately 25 institutional clients, managing queries, resolving issues, and representing Barclays externally. Working closely with front office counterparts and internal teams, you'll ensure exceptional client experiences across cleared OTC products, with exposure to ETD.

To be successful as a PDS EMEA Client Interaction Specialist, you should have:

  • Strong client-facing experience and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Solid understanding of financial products, ideally Prime Brokerage or derivatives.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Derivatives experience.

  • Risk and control mindset.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as stakeholder management, problem-solving, risk and controls, and business acumen, as well as job-specific technical skills.
