The Lockwood Group is a family-run business with over 60 years of experience providing complete logistics, warehousing, and co-packing solutions across the UK.

Our operations include Lockwood Haulage, specialists in national transport and distribution, and Lockwoods Ltd, experts in contract packing. Together, we deliver integrated end-to-end supply chain support, from goods receipt and storage to packing, distribution, and final delivery.

As our operations continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Business Administration Apprentice.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification. You'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our Co-Packing administration office and will learn a wide range of business and operational skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist the Co-Packing administration office team in daily operations.
  • Help ensure all job return dates and quality requirements are met.
  • Liaise with co-packing supervisors and customers regarding daily tasks and queries.
  • Maintain records of products, packaging, and consumables used within the Co-Packing area.
  • Assist with checking and preparing goods for dispatch.
  • Learn to manage administrative paperwork and data entry accurately.
  • Support health and safety compliance in the office and warehouse areas.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.
