We Do Group are supporting a large international group operating across renewable energy, engineering services and major global project delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with real scale and complexity, backed by long term investment and committed to strengthening its tax and finance capability.

The role

You will join the UK and Regional Tax function with responsibility across UK corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, forecasting, advisory support and project work. The group operates across multiple jurisdictions, giving you exposure to a wide range of tax matters and the chance to work closely with high calibre colleagues across finance, legal and the wider global tax team.

Key responsibilities:

UK Tax Focus


• Manage the tax provision process for the UK group


• Prepare UK corporation tax returns for review


• Support the UK R and D tax credit process


• Lead withholding tax compliance and double tax treaty applications


• Maintain and update regional cash tax forecasts


• Partner closely with finance, legal and global tax teams


• Support technical research and tax planning initiatives

Regional / European Support


• Support tax reporting and compliance processes across European jurisdictions


• Contribute to the review of tax systems, processes and controls including SOX

Skills and experience:

Essential


• Strong experience working in corporate tax


• Familiarity with tax accounting concepts


• Ability to explain complex tax matters in simple terms


• Highly organised with strong time management


• Curious, analytical and proactive approach


• Confident working independently within a global structure

Desirable


• Tax reporting experience including US GAAP


• General ledger interrogation capability


• Experience using MS Dynamics and MS Power applications

Qualifications


• CTA or ACA qualified or equivalent
