We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that precision and quality are maintained throughout the machining process. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for Operating and programming CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Fanuc programming is essential.

Duties

  • Responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC Lathes.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up tooling and program in Fanuc & ISO.
  • Working on small batch quantities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined components to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in the production process.
  • Utilise hand tools and basic maths skills for measuring and adjusting components as needed.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background

Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Proficiency in operating CNC turning machines, with experience in programming being vital.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logical reasoning in a manufacturing context.
  • A commitment to maintaining safety standards while working in a production environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.50-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39.5 per week
