There are law firms that say they're "different." Then there are law firms that actually are.

This one's independent, well-established, and home to some very well-known clients (the kind you've definitely shopped with, driven past, or poured from).

This Bradford based Law Firm is looking for a Legal Cashier. Someone who knows their way around a client account, can smell a reconciliation issue from a mile off, and doesn't need reminding what the Solicitors Accounts Rules are (because you've been living them for at least the last three years).

What you'll be doing:

  • It's a mix of the usual suspects:
  • Posting receipts (manual and electronic)
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Dealing with CHAPS and card payments
  • Making sure bills are accurate and posted
  • Moving money between Client and Office accounts without breaking a sweat
  • Producing tidy Excel sheets (not the ones that make you weep)
  • Answering queries from fee earners, colleagues, and the occasional confused client

There's admin, as always. But the good news is you'll be part of a small, tight team who get on. You'll also be working for people who don't think "commercial awareness" is a personality trait.

What you'll need:

  • Around 3+ years' experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role
  • Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Excel skills that are more "practical" than "pivot table wizardry"
  • Experience with Partner case management software would help (but not essential)
