As our
Sustainability Officer
, you'll play a key role in driving our company's commitment to environmental responsibility and ethical business practices. Working closely with the
Head of Compliance
and
QHSE Manager
, you'll gain hands-on experience across sustainability reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week
- Support the maintenance and management of sustainability platforms, including the Carbon Disclosure Portal, SWEEP, and the Social Value Portal.
- Assist in preparing environmental and social value reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with key standards and regulations.
- Contribute to our environmental management frameworks, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, under expert guidance.
- Collaborate with teams across the business — from Bids to Marketing — to gather sustainability data and support client submissions.
- Help develop internal training and guidance materials to embed sustainability best practice.
- Stay up to date with emerging legislation, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), to support our continuous improvement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Passionate about sustainability and eager to learn within a fast-paced commercial setting.
- Experience through volunteering, university projects, or internships in sustainability or environmental topics would be a bonus.
