Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is essential, This position is a temp Christmas post. With possible longer term.

Duties

  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age in accordance with licensing laws
  • Handle cash and process payments using the point-of-sale system with basic maths skills
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables or seating areas as required
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles is desirable
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
