Job Description
Are you a hands-on mechanical technician looking to take your career global? NOV Energy Equipment is looking for a Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Great Yarmouth, supporting and servicing our world-leading Coiled Tubing and Nitrogen equipment across international markets.
In this role, you'll be trained on Hydra Rig Coiled Tubing Units (CTU) and Nitrogen Converters, gaining deep expertise in advanced oilfield technology while traveling the world to support our customers.
What You'll Do

  • Perform service, repair, testing, and refurbishment of Hydra Rig equipment, including strip down, inspection, reassembly, and pressure testing.
  • Conduct commissioning and troubleshooting both in the UK and internationally.
  • Deliver technical training to customers and provide on-site support globally.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-train on Texas Oil Tools Pressure Control Equipment.
  • Uphold NOV's highest standards of HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) in all activities.

What You Bring

  • Education in Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent diploma).
  • Strong mechanical servicing or maintenance experience — ideally with hydraulics or industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Skilled communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for service and commissioning work.

Previous experience with Coiled Tubing and Nitrogen equipment is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
