Save My Exams is a rapidly growing EdTech business on the lookout for a switched-on Freelance SEO Analyst (for a 3-month contract).
We are an exciting, customer-obsessed, remote-first startup that is improving the lives of millions of students every year.
Reaching over 4 million students each month, Save My Exams is a bootstrapped and profitable EdTech company on a mission to help students revise smarter. We're now looking for a freelance SEO Analyst to support our SEO Product team in scaling new page types, improving data processes, and driving even more organic growth.

The Role

Job Requirements
The absolute must-haves:
- Proven experience in technical SEO and programmatic SEO projects.
- Strong skills in data gathering, cleaning, and structuring (Google Sheets, Excel; SQL or Python is a plus).
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, site structure, indexing, crawlability, and content optimisation.
- Knowledge of Google Search Console, Sistrix, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush and similar SEO tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced experience leveraging AI tools to automate data extraction, structure complex datasets, and accelerate large-scale programmatic content workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in EdTech or with large-scale content websites.
- Familiarity with Save My Exams' content
- Prior experience collaborating with engineering or product teams.
Interest in automation, data visualisation, or scalable content systems.
Job Responsibilities
You will:
- Work closely with the SEO Product Manager to research new programmatic SEO opportunities and assess their potential impact.
- Gather, clean, and structure data to support scalable page builds.
- Prepare content briefs, metadata, and schema to help projects move from concept to delivery.
- Run QA checks on datasets and validate outputs before handoff to engineering.
- Coordinate with internal teams to keep work flowing efficiently.
- Conduct internal linking analysis to identify opportunities for improved crawl flow and content discoverability.
- Perform log file audits, crawl analysis, and other site-level technical reviews to uncover SEO performance blockers.
- Conduct keyword and SERP analysis to identify untapped opportunities.
- Support execution-heavy tasks such as prompt engineering and data processing for technical SEO initiatives.
Job Benefits

- Freelance contract for an initial 3 month project (approx. 3 days per week)
- Day rate: up to £400/day (approx. £4,800/month for 3 days per week, depending on experience and skills)
