Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Royal Leamington Spa as an AAOS Developer. The AAOS Developer will be responsible for creating and integrating Android Automotive OS features, tools, and applications. Duties include developing, debugging, and testing software components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards, and providing technical solutions for various challenges. The role requires a focus on quality, performance, and adhering to project timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) development, Android APIs, and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Kotlin along with experience in debugging and optimizing code for performance.
- Experience with software integration, system architecture, and working with hardware interfaces in an embedded systems environment.
- Familiarity with automotive protocols and standards like CAN, LIN, MOST, or Ethernet.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development environments is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and safety standards in automotive systems is a plus.
