We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager to take ownership and oversee daily operations at our site based in the NG postcode (commutable from Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Grantham, Newark and South Nottinghamshire).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day operations, assign weekly/monthly performance goals and ensure their completion.
  • Identify areas for improvement offering solutions and confidence to oversee trials in order to achieve goals.
  • Recruit, onboard and train high performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability and development.
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
  • Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.

The Deputy General Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth across the site. Working closely with the Senior Operations Team, they will present and implement strategic plans that optimise productivity, ensuring the business operates efficiently and effectively within a constantly evolving landscape. This role involves guiding and motivating the team with confidence, fostering a highly engaged and performance driven culture. The Deputy General Manager will continuously review and refine organisational processes to enhance effectiveness, implement innovative solutions, and maintain the highest company standards for quality of service. They will actively identify opportunities for business expansion through strong internal collaboration and the development of external partnerships. In addition, the role requires providing regular guidance, feedback and one to one mentoring to strengthen individual and team capability, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Role is contracted at 45 hours per week, inclusive of a 1 hour paid lunch break. 08:00am-17:00pm Monday-Friday.
