Role Outline:

You will be responsible for fabricating doors and windows in a target driven environment.

Working Hours:

Sunday - Thursday, 22:00pm - 06:00am (37.5 hours per week).

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate of £16.01 per hour includes a shift premium of £12.00 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that windows and doors are accurately fabricated by choosing appropriate materials, and then cut, shape and finish
  • Undertake a wide range of manufacturing activities which involves working with window and door components, which may include frames, sashes, glass, glazing, paints, waxes, fitting hardware and assembly
  • Use a range of hand tools and machinery, which may include mallets, chisels and drill drivers
  • Use jigs (as required)
  • Use a tape measure and other measuring equipment (as required)
  • Ensure that the Company's high standards and targets are achieved on a daily basis
  • Adhere to the Company's safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. This includes using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following procedures for handling materials and operating machinery
  • Communicate (and where possible, address) any issues that may arise during the fabrication process such as material defects and design challenges

  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work to reasonable instructions and meet tight deadlines (accurately and quickly)
  • Confident team player prepared to be flexible to meet both team and shift requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
