Maintenance Person – Nursery Group

Location: Leicester (Full-time) - across all St. George's Nurseries

Are you a practical, hands-on individual with a can-do attitude? Do you enjoy working as part of a team and want to help create safe, beautiful environments for children to learn and grow?

St. George's Nursery – one of the leading nursery groups in the East Midlands – is looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Person to join our friendly team. Based in Leicestershire, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the upkeep of our existing nurseries and support the development of exciting new locations as we continue to grow.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across our nursery sites (e.g. painting, minor carpentry, basic electrics)
  • Supporting the setup and development of new nursery sites
  • Conducting routine inspections to ensure buildings and outdoor areas remain safe and in top condition
  • Responding to maintenance requests from nursery managers in a timely and professional manner
  • Working closely with the rest of our maintenance team and wider support staff
  • Helping to maintain compliance with health and safety standards

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has proven maintenance experience
  • Is confident with a wide range of DIY and repair tasks
  • Works well independently but also thrives as part of a team
  • Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence (essential)
