Job Summary
Huawei R&D UK is looking for a
Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our London Research Center, initial 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC).
In this role, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with the organisation's hiring goals. The position will focus on hiring experienced Researchers, Scientists & Engineers across the technical global market. You will work closely with the department heads, HR and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver a strategic recruitment strategy, provide expectational candidate experiences, report on market intelligence, and streamline recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture multiple pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future positions.
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process for key technical roles to identify Researchers, Scientists and Engineers ensuring a high quality, efficient talent pipeline.
  • Provide talent maps for research communities, track emerging talent, and identify top researchers from leading labs and top universities.
  • Work with HR Business Partners, ensuring hiring managers are fully supported and trained in hiring practices to deliver a seamless candidate experience and consistent process.
  • Utilise internal recruitment technologies to generate data-driven insights that streamline hiring and forecast talent demand.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance throughout the recruitment process.

Required:

  • 3+ years experience in-house recruitment/agency recruitment (Tech, R&D or semiconductor industry is preferred).
  • Proven expertise in sourcing and closing research and advanced technical talent, covering both Software (AI/ML, Computer Vision, specialised Software Development) and Hardware (Embedded Systems, Processor Architecture, Electronics Engineering).
  • Demonstrated success identifying, engaging, and delivering highly niche talent pipelines in competitive global markets.
  • Experience with modern recruitment technology, including ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-Ray searching, and other engineering/research focused recruitment platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to track, measure, and leverage key recruitment metrics (Time-to-Fill, Quality-of-Hire, Candidate Experience, etc.) to drive process improvements.
  • Expectational relationship building and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in additional languages.
