About the Role:

GLG Vets is delighted to support an established veterinary practice in Liverpool, Merseyside, in their search for a dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon. As a key member of their team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional veterinary care to patients while also mentoring and leading the clinical team.

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per year

Full-Time: 40 hours per week (1 in 3 or 1 in 6 weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality veterinary care to pets and animals in a variety of cases.
  • Support and manage a team of veterinary professionals, ensuring excellent standards are upheld.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, offering compassionate and professional service.
  • Perform surgery, diagnostics, and treatments for a range of conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • RCVS registered and ideally with previous leadership or senior veterinary experience.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional care to animals and working as part of a dynamic team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
  • A commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
