This role will provide administrative support to the University's outreach and widening participation team, to ensure that the department's outreach projects and activities are organised and administered effectively, with the overall aim of supporting the University in meeting its obligations detailed in the Access and Participation Plan (APP). Reporting to the APP/Widening Participation Operations & Compliance Manager, this role will be integral to ensuring that the department runs efficiently, with processes in place to ensure compliance to external regulation.
As a Widening Participation Operations and Compliance Administrative Assistant you can expect to be involved in :
- Providing administrative support to colleagues within the Outreach & Widening Participation team to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner and that a high customer service is consistently achieved.
- Providing administrative support for partner school/college outreach projects to ensure that events and activities are organised to a high standard and in line with departmental procedures.
- Data entry using the HEAT database to ensure the appropriate monitoring and tracking of outreach activities, participants and ambassadors
- Supporting with the administration of any scholarships delivered by the O&WP department
What will you bring to the role ?
- Computer literacy and an ability to develop and maintain systematic approaches, including proficiency in the use of Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in a busy and challenging environment
- Previous experience working in an administrative capacity in an office
- Understanding of widening participation
