About Us
We are a reputable dog training facility that provides a range of tailored training programs — from basic obedience to advanced behavioral modification. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality results and creating positive, lasting relationships between dogs and their owners.
Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and confident Dog Trainer to join our team. The role involves working hands-on with a variety of dogs enrolled in our residential training programs, covering everything from basic obedience to behavioral issues.
You'll work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments — focusing on obedience training such as:
Lead walking
Sit, stay, and down stays
Recall training
Behavioral issues (e.g., reactivity, anxiety, aggression)
The role also includes training and handling family protection dogs, so confidence and experience with strong working breeds is essential.
In addition to hands-on training, you will interact directly with clients — conducting training handovers, providing progress updates, and educating owners on how to maintain their dog's training at home.
Responsibilities
Train residential dogs across obedience, behavior modification, and protection training programs
Handle and manage dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
Conduct client handovers and provide follow-up guidance
Maintain accurate training records and progress reports
Assist with client consultations and assessments
Ensure the welfare, safety, and enrichment of all dogs in your care
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of professional dog training experience
Strong understanding of dog behavior and training methods
Confident handling all breeds and temperaments
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and passionate about dogs
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
Experience with protection or working dogs
Certification in dog training or behavior
Previous experience in a residential or kennel-based training environment
Benefits
Opportunity to work with a wide variety of dogs
Supportive and passionate team environment
Career growth and development opportunities
