Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock levels are low
  • Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment and workstations at the end of each shift

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
  • Previous experience working in a busy restaurant or catering setting is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • A genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
