Palliative Nurse Specialist

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate A Palliative Nurse Specialists to deliver expert, person-centred end-of-life care across our community services.
The Role
Working autonomously as an advanced practitioner or part of a team as a clinical Nurse Specialist, you'll manage complex palliative care patients, providing specialist symptom management and support to individuals and families during the most challenging times. Your clinical leadership and expertise will help shape outstanding care whilst mentoring colleagues and contributing to service development.
- Block bookings available- secure shifts up to 3 months ahead.
- Weekly pay (Ltd company or self-employed).
- Shifts available 24/7.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning and delivering specialist palliative care with full autonomy
- Managing complex symptoms including pain, breathlessness, delirium and nausea
- Using your Non-Medical Prescriber qualification to optimise symptom control
- Communicating sensitive, complex information with empathy and clarity
- Leading on triage, admissions and discharge decisions
- Mentoring junior clinicians and contributing to service improvement
Flexible shift patterns available:
- 8am–6pm / 6pm–12am / 12am–8am
- Including days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays
What You'll Need
Essential:
- NMC registration (Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability)
- Experience in palliative or complex care
- Strong clinical assessment and management planning skills
- Excellent communication and the ability to work flexibly
