Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of our equipment across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial driving skills, particularly with box vehicles, have a commitment to providing excellent service.

Duties

  • Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure the lorry is in safe working condition.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service during all interactions.
  • Help build Marquees when required for the event with a team.

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with box vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with customers and colleagues effectively.
  • A flexible approach to work hours, including potential early starts or late finishes.
