Job introductionWe are seeking HR professionals to join our team to support change management projects which will improve the customer and employee relations experience and support the Council's ambition to be an organisation that is connected to its residents and the city we serve.
Your role, if appointed, will be to support our managers by providing HR guidance and comprehensive support to managers, focussing on employee relations issues. You will be providing on the ground support to managers in our Housing, Repairs and Maintenance Team and you will be expected to be onsite with the managers a minimum of 3 days per week.
Fixed term for: 9 Months - End Date 21st July 2026
This role is available as a secondment to internal applicants in line with our secondment policy. About the roleLead HR Consultants provide managers with consistent, pragmatic and effective advice on the management and resolution of people issues, mitigating risk to the organisation whilst optimising resources to deliver highly effective and creative solutions.
You will need to work in partnership with managers to establish an understanding of their service and the challenges they face. You will be engaging and consulting with key stakeholders including trade unions and employees.
You will be passionate about delivering outcomes, optimising the flow of work and ensuring quality and accuracy.
Strong organisational skills are a must, with the ability to plan and keep up to date with actions on multiple change projects, keeping to deadlines.

Additional informationYour starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
