The International Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic business opportunities in global markets. This role involves building strong relationships with international clients, partners, and distributors, driving revenue growth, and supporting the company's expansion strategy. The ideal candidate is a commercially aware professional with a deep understanding of cross-cultural business environments and a proven track record in international sales and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, government bodies, and key-stakeholders.

  • Market Development: Research, identify, and evaluate new business opportunities in existing and new territories.

  • Market Entry Strategy: Develop and execute tailored go-to-market strategies for each region, considering local regulations, cultural nuances, and competitive landscapes.

  • Sales Growth: Drive sales activities in target regions to meet or exceed revenue targets. Track and

analyse international sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations for international deals, contracts, and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company policies.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, legal, and operations teams to align market entry plans and product launches.

  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at demonstrations (with technical support), trade shows, conferences, and industry events worldwide.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in international sales, business development, or market expansion roles (preferably in the defence and government agencies space).
  • Proven track record of securing and growing business in multiple regions.
  • Ability to present to multiple, high level key decision makers in high pressure environments
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of multi-cultural business etiquette.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%)
