Non-Executive Board Member | Remuneration: £3,000 per annum
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Term: 3 years (renewable)
Commitment: Approx. 6 Board Meetings per year, plus Strategic Awayday and occasional project involvement
About Squared Housing Association
We are a small, community-focused housing association based in Luton, with over 60 years' experience delivering affordable housing and support services to individuals and families in need. We are proud of our strong local roots, high-quality services, and commitment to social value.
We are now seeking new Non-Executive Board Members to join our Board of Management and help shape our future.
The Role
As a Board Member, you'll contribute to our strategic direction, ensure effective governance, and support the delivery of our mission: to provide safe, secure and well-managed homes for people who need them most.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight
- Monitor financial and operational performance
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Champion tenant engagement and inclusion
- Contribute to key decisions and future planning
- Participate in Strategy Day or working groups where appropriate
Who We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience or skills in:
- Governance, finance or audit
- Housing management or tenant services
- Legal, regulatory, or compliance
- Risk management
- Community development and local knowledge
- Charity or business sector leadership
