The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Rail Surveyor to join our Monitoring UK North department on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Project Manager and based out of our Manchester or Birmingham office, this is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging rail projects, using advanced surveying technology and contributing to the safety and efficiency of the UK rail network.

What will I be doing in my new role?

  • Carrying out rail and monitoring survey tasks to industry standards.
  • Operating total stations, GNSS, digital levels and track trolleys.
  • Collecting and processing accurate geospatial data for rail projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Collaborating with senior surveyors and project managers to deliver client requirements.

Requirements of the role:

  • 2–4 years' experience in rail surveying or monitoring.
  • Knowledge of railway standards and safety procedures (Valid PTS certification or prior certification).
  • Proficiency in survey instruments and data processing software.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial principles and accuracy requirements.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide.
  • Full Rights to work in the UK
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required
