Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) – Audiology Screening is responsible for introducing and conducting hearing screenings for optical customers, identifying potential hearing concerns, and educating patients about audiology services. This role bridges vision and hearing care, ensuring customers receive a comprehensive wellness experience. The PCC works closely with the optometry and audiology teams to promote hearing health and encourage follow-up care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic hearing screenings for optical customers.
  • Identify individuals who may benefit from a full audiology evaluation.
  • Work with optometrists and staff to integrate audiology services into patient care.
  • Maintain records of screening results and follow-up appointments.
  • Encourage customers to take proactive steps toward better hearing health.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records
  • Manage scheduling and patient communication regarding audiology services.
  • Assist in marketing efforts to promote hearing screenings within the optical facility.

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare, audiology, optical, in-store canvassing or sales is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable promoting services and engaging customers in discussions about hearing health.y.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
