Summary

The On-Site Machining Engineer will be responsible for servicing and repairing complex CNC machines.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and repair CNC Machines (Index, Chiron, Mazak, Citizen)
  • Work to schedules to meet company demands
  • Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines

Knowledge Required

  • Knowledge of CNC machine tools and servicing/repairing them
  • Able to perform CNC fault diagnosis using PLC
  • Knowledge and understanding of servo systems (Siemens an advantage)

Personal Specification/Essential Qualities:

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and innovative to help improve processes
  • Clear communication at all levels of the company organization
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Flexible approach to a varied workload including site maintenance
  • Desirable - Tool room experience, Fixture manufacture and repair, component re-work

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 12:45 & 13:15 – 16:00
Friday to :00 – 12:00 (39 hours)
