Summary

We are seeking a Clinic Clerk to join our dynamic team at NHS Professionals in the UK. This role is vital in supporting our operations and ensuring efficient administrative processes. As a Clerk, you will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional care through effective staffing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange the booking, reception and follow up of out-patient/Diagnostic Patient for any clinician in accordance with agreed requirements.
  • Complete all required documentation and computer records.
  • Send out correspondence and deals with all relevant enquiries from patient's relatives, GP's etc… before, during and after clinic appointments.
  • Deal with any difficulties relating to clinic, referring to a higher level if required, and makes suggestions for improvement.
  • Receive and acknowledge incoming referral letters as appropriate.
  • Refer letters to Consultant/Clinician for information as required
  • Book and advise patient of appointments using the Trusts partial/fully booking protocols.

Skills/Experience

  • Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare or administrative setting
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with NHS procedures is a plus
