This has expanded to a full suite of payment capabilities including significant growth planned in the eCommerce space and international expansion.

Role Description

As a Full Stack Engineer with a focus on eCommerce, you will be responsible for building out Musqet's eCommerce capabilities. This includes both input to our back-end web service infrastructure, as well as front-end development to expose the functionality to our merchants and their customers, from internal dashboards through to customer check- out experiences both as stand-alone solutions and eCommerce platform plug-ins/add- ons.

You will be working in a small, dedicated, fully-remote team and so a high level of autonomy is not only expected but required in order to flourish in this role.

This work will cover not only the services for the existing product but also new offerings that Musqet is currently building and future offerings on the Musqet roadmap.

As a senior member of the team, you'll be the one to step up when there's a bug causing our customers to lose sales, or when a less senior member is unable to implement a new feature correctly.

The team will grow and mature over the coming months with more dedicated roles and specialists for product ownership, design, quality assurance, and more, but as an early senior member of the team you will be comfortable wearing many hats as required to ensure that the product build is of a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Building both front end and back end components of a range of eCommerce focused payment and financial management web services.

• Considering and applying testing standards to your own code as well as that of your colleagues.

• Guiding and mentoring other engineers and leading active discussion on system design, UX consideration, and technology selection.

• Creating technical user documentation about the software's functionality.

• Creating technical developer documentation about how the software is built.

Requirements

Technical
:

• Experience with eCommerce Platforms: You have worked with eCommerce platforms in the past and are comfortable with the idea of integrating your work into platforms like Magento/Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and more.

• Experience in the Payments Industry: You are familiar with the payments industry and can confidently talk about things like card acquirer response codes, pay-by-link technologies, and MOTO. You've built systems in the past that interact with these things and know what to look out for.

• Backend Development: Expertise in Typescript and in Prisma as an ORM, with a strong understanding of PostgreSQL for relational database management.

• Frontend Development: Strong command of for building server rendered React applications, including SSR and API routes.

Full-Stack Integration: Ability to seamlessly integrate frontend, backend, and mobile app functionalities within a unified system.

Proficiency in Bitcoin Technologies: Deep understanding of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, including its protocols, architecture, and use cases would be considered a plus, but is not a requirement.
