What's the role?
London Borough of Lewisham is seeking 7 Employment Specialists to join our team delivering the DWP Connect To Work Programme. We are looking for
- 3 Employment Specialist to deliver via the Support Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) and
- 4 Employment Specialists to deliver via the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) framework. You will work to provide expert employment support for individuals with diverse needs.
- 1 of the posts will have an exclusive caseload of in work participants and will be required to work a number of evenings to accommodate appointments outside of core hours.
Working with participants, health professionals, service providers and employers, you will be focused on making sure a participant's journey into employment, is as easy as possible. You will work with participants (managing a caseload of to assist them in securing or remaining in sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. Your role will be to deliver the SEQF or IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred advice and guidance to participants, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable participants to move into suitable employment.
You will work with people on their individual employment journey from vocational profiling to the point where they no longer require face to face in work support.

Location
Whilst Lewisham offers a hybrid approach across both office and home locations. This role will be predominantly office based at Catford Town Hall alongside a number of community based locations within the borough.

Salary
£44,235 - £45,852 per annum (PO1)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
