Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm / 48 weeks per year.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting early childhood development. Applicants should have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childcare practices. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to fostering positive learning experiences in a professional environment.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's development across various areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
  • Support the organisation of nursery programmes in line with early childhood education standards
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of behaviour, organisation, and hygiene within the nursery
  • Assist with the management of nursery staff, contributing to team leadership and training when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation needs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
  • Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare.
  • Experience with nursery management or leadership roles is advantageous
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties
  • Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative and professionalism

Pay: £25,000.00-£33,046.00 per year
