What you'll do

  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to execute tasks accurately.
  • Assist in plumbing, electrical work, and masonry tasks as needed to support project goals.
  • Perform concrete forming and finishing, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Engage in carpentry tasks including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and door hanging.
  • Conduct restoration work and remodeling projects that enhance existing structures.
  • Collaborate with team members on heavy equipment operation for site preparation and material handling.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all duties on-site.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction or skilled trades with a strong understanding of building processes.
  • Familiarity with construction management principles and estimating techniques.
  • Ability to operate various tools including power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in specialized areas such as roofing, plastering, or glass installation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hardscape installation techniques and practices.
  • Welding skills or experience in flooring installation or tile laying are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites with an emphasis on safety protocols.
