Asset Management / Information Officer
to support our growth plan.
What you'll do
The role of the Asset Information Officer is to support the management of the airport's physical assets throughout their lifecycle by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of asset data. This role is a crucial enabler for the airport's asset management transformation, mainly by supporting the implementation of an asset management system (AMS), optimising the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
The Asset Information Officer will act as a champion for asset data and insights. They will be responsible for defining and maintaining data standards, providing training and support to end-users, and collaborating with various departments to ensure that asset information is captured, maintained, and utilised consistently and effectively to drive data-informed decisions, improve maintenance efficiency, and enhance operational resilience.
Join us as part of a new and expanding team, reporting into our Senior Asset Manager you'll also:
- Support the Senior Asset Manager in the implementation of the Asset Management System (AMS), aligned to ISO 55001 principles.
- Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and hierarchies for all asset-related information.
- Conduct data cleansing, migration, and validation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the asset register and master data.
- Support and identify improvements to the current CMMS to enhance the asset register, work management, planned preventative maintenance, and reporting.
- Provide training and support to appropriate users on the most efficient uses of the CMMS and other asset information systems.
- Generate asset management reports and dashboards to inform decision-making, regulatory compliance and asset performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Development, IT, Control Centre) to ensure a shared understanding and consistent approach to asset information management.
- Support the implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Promote the use of GIS as a tool for asset visualisation, analysis, and decision-making by other departments.
What you'll bring
To be considered it is essential that you have:
- Proven experience in a dedicated asset data or information management role, preferably within an asset-intensive environment such as engineering, manufacturing, or facilities management.
- Demonstrated practical experience in the administration, configuration, or support of an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) or Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- High level of data literacy, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis, as well as experience with generating reports and dashboards.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide training and technical support to users from a variety of operational backgrounds.
It would also help if you have:
- Suitable Asset Management qualification or experience with membership of the Institute of Asset Management
- A clear understanding and practical awareness of the principles of ISO 55001.
- Direct experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) platforms, including spatial data management and analysis.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data querying, reporting, and analysis.
- Knowledge and experience of using design software such as AutoCAD or Revit, and an understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes.
- Support the documentation, management, and updating of as-built information, including CAD and BIM files, ensuring accurate record control.
